Custom Tickets Overview

Custom tickets are designed to help businesses and organizers manage entry, validate access, and maintain clear records across events, promotions, and controlled environments. By combining printed information with optional numbering, perforation, and barcode features, tickets become more than just printed pieces—they function as reliable tools for tracking and verification.

Unlike standard printed materials, tickets are built for controlled use. Features such as tear-off stubs, sequential numbering, and barcode scanning allow organizers to monitor attendance, prevent duplication, and keep operations organized during high-traffic situations.

Compared to appointment cards, which focus on scheduling and customer follow-up, tickets are used for one-time validation and controlled access. When used alongside loyalty cards, tickets support event-based engagement while loyalty systems handle long-term customer retention.

Entry Control and Validation

Custom tickets are primarily used to control access to events, raffles, and restricted areas. Each ticket represents a single-use entry point, helping organizers ensure that only valid holders can participate or attend.

This makes tickets essential for concerts, fundraisers, exhibitions, and any scenario where controlled admission is required.

Perforation for Ticket and Stub Separation

Optional perforation allows each ticket to be divided into two sections: the main ticket and a detachable stub. This structure enables organizers to retain one portion for records while the attendee keeps the other.

Perforated tickets are widely used for raffles, prize drawings, and admission tracking where physical proof of entry is needed.

Sequential Numbering for Tracking

Sequential numbering adds a unique identifier to each ticket, making it easier to track attendance, verify entries, and manage distributions. Numbering can be configured with different digit lengths and printed consistently across batches.

When combined with perforation, the same number appears on both the ticket and stub, ensuring accurate record matching.

Barcode Integration for Scanning

Barcode options provide an additional layer of validation by enabling digital scanning. Using formats such as Code 128, tickets can be scanned quickly at entry points, reducing manual checks and improving efficiency.

Barcode-enabled tickets are ideal for larger events, automated check-in systems, and situations where speed and accuracy are critical.

For best results, keep layouts simple with clear hierarchy and strong contrast. Focus on essential details to ensure readability and long-term visibility. If needed, our Design Services can help refine your layout and prepare print-ready files. Design fees can be credited back upon order to help manage costs.

Ticket Features & Numbering Options

Choose from perforation, numbering, and barcode options to match your ticket layout, tracking needs, and event workflow.

Ticket Perforation Line

  • A perforation line creates a detachable section on the ticket, dividing it into a main ticket and a tear-off stub for raffles, entry tracking, or record keeping.

Ticket Numbering Positions

  • Sequential numbering can be printed on the right side of the ticket in three positions: Top Right, Center Right, or Bottom Right.

Ticket Numbering with Stub

  • When perforation is selected, the same number will automatically appear on both the ticket and the stub for easy matching and tracking.

Ticket Barcode Placement

  • Barcodes are printed on the bottom-left corner of the front side of the ticket to ensure reliable scanning and consistent placement.

Numbering Design Guidelines

For dark background designs, we recommend adding a light-colored (e.g., white) area behind the numbering to ensure clear visibility. Printing numbers directly on dark backgrounds may result in low contrast or reduced readability.

How to Order

Follow the setup steps below to choose your ticket size, numbering options, barcode placement, and starting sequence.

Select your ticket size and choose whether you need a perforation line.

Enable sequential numbering, then choose the number position and color.

Optionally add a barcode, which will be printed on the bottom-left corner of the ticket.

In the design editor, enter the starting number for the ticket sequence.

The system will automatically generate numbers based on your order quantity.

For example, if you start from 0001 and order 500 tickets, the numbers will run from 0001 to 0500.

If perforation is selected, the same number will automatically be printed on both the ticket and the stub.
